WEDDING | Nicole + Billy

Finally uploading after more than a year…We are so proud of this lush greenhouse style wedding set in the seaside town of Matarangi, Coromandel.

Nicole was the dreamiest bride, after providing images from a book of her favourite flowers, she gave us full trust, allowing her vendors to work at their full potential, and in turn this wedding has become one of those career highlights, a once in a lifetime (hopefully not!) wedding.

I will never forget the moment when I waited til all other suppliers had left the night before the wedding, walking into the marquee space, and feeling absolutely overcome with emotion at what we had achieved.

A beach side ceremony, full of lush green and white florals.

Given Nicole had chosen a Emilia Wickstead gown with a full train, we went for petite bouquets for the bridal party. Consisting of white nerines, blush roses, white snowberries, white tulips and white roses.

Working alongside stylist Claire (One Lovely Day), our creative director Shaye headed a team of 13, and was in charge of floral production.

This wedding spanned from a beach side ceremony and bar, across the road to another house and the marquee. As guests left the ceremony and beach bar that afternoon, to the reception in the marquee, the bar was converted to a dance floor and night lounge. The following day, we broke it all down and turned the space into a mediterranean after party. 4 areas over 2 days.

The marquee entrance was a statement on it’s own, and set the tone for the greenhouse vibe. Walking in our team had interspersed suspended garlands of foliage, with living trees from Horrobin & Hodge dotted around the bar.
