It’s getting to that reflective time of year, so we thought we’d share some of our highlights of 2018. It’s been a big year for On My Hand, with lots of opportunities to push ourselves, grow and create lots of beautiful work at the same time.
Camille and Malone were an incredible couple with incredible taste. Their brief was to create florals that were wild and unkempt but linked to the setting for their nuptials – Poronui Station, which is a hunting and fishing lodge 40 mins from Taupō, on SH5. Bearing in mind that it was a beautifully desolate forest setting, we used a base of kanuka and eucalyptus.
Despite living in Dubai, Pip and Stephen rocked their garden wedding held here in Tauranga, New Zealand! Aligning some of the finest of Tauranga vendors – Ataahua garden venue, Rambo Estrada photographic, Spongedrop and Devour catering. The date was bang on Christmas and the end of our working year, spirits were high and everyone was feeling festive.
Recently I was asked to put together a bouquet for one of our dear past brides, Michaela McBride (who is also an AMAZING calligrapher) for her anniversary shoot. The couple headed down to Lake Rotoiti to make some memories of their first wedding anniversary. I adore the moody shots, and I absolutely adore having my flowers photographed on film.
